What is a Listening Service?

A Listening Service is a form of healing through talking. Our feelings and emotions often repress the deep issues and talking helps them to resurface. A Listener lets you speak openly and confidentially, without judgement in a quiet caring environment. You will be heard with compassion and empathy for whatever you wish to discuss. This therapy helps you to feel heard and not alone in your time of need. It offers you the chance to talk to a trained therapist about your feelings and concerns. You might talk about difficult events in your life or your relationships and emotions. Or you might have negative thoughts and behaviours that you want to change.

Talking to someone independent of family and friends can be very beneficial to your mental health and well being. It can help you to release the stresses and strains of daily life. To be heard and understood often brings immense relief and comfort, therefore, helping to lift your burdens and move on with daily life.

I am a highly trained Listener, certified by CPCAB. I offer an informal service where you can speak freely about anything you wish to discuss or seek guidance on. I provide a non-judgemental, safe space where you can share openly and in complete confidence.

I am DBS checked and fully insured.

About me

I’m a Mother of three, a Guardian to two, and a Grandmother to three wonderful children. I have spent many years working in the charitable sector, and my passion lies in supporting others. My goal is to help people discover their own sense of peace and contentment in a world that’s constantly evolving and presenting new challenges.

As a Listener I’ve personally witnessed the positive changes and transformations in the people I’ve supported. Many individuals who use the Listening Service initially felt they needed counselling, but due to financial constraints or long waiting lists, they turn to the Listening Service instead. After a few sessions, many find that they no longer feel the need for counselling. While I’m not a qualified counsellor, if I believe a client would benefit from counselling or if they request a referral, I am happy to connect them with a qualified practitioner.
